This blog post is a bit different. I (Rebecca) am extremely saddened to report that on Friday morning, my 27-year-old cousin (pictured on the left in the photo) died unexpectedly. The circumstances of his death remain unclear; his partner went to wake him up the morning after a dental procedure, but he had apparently died in his sleep. Sam had a uniquely energetic and positive presence and related to those around him in a very loving and nonjudgemental way. He had just finished his masters in counseling and was opening a private practice offering somatic therapy in San Francsico. Sam leaves behind a large community of friends and family, including his wonderful partner, Michael, who in recent years has become a part of our family. We send our thoughts to him, along with Sam's sisters and parents.
Very nice blog post. I was shocked and saddened to hear that he had passed. He had just begun to reconnect with our family on the West Coast, and we were all so excited that he was involved in the recent wedding activities, holidays, and other family events. He had an exceptionally positive and energetic vibe, and he will certainly be missed...
