As a result of our experimentation with “trying to be more open” here in Ecuador, Greg and I have found ourselves in some unusual situations. Here is a montage of some our favorites:
--Attendance at an Herbalife conference (in Spanish).
--Ride on a (very old and rusty) rollercoaster at one of Cuenca’s many theme parks.
--A 12-hour (and first) double date with our new friends (and landlords), which included walking the mall, an evangelical movie (in Spanish), and driving without seatbelts (the 10-month old included).
--The realization that an employee of the hostel was wearing a shirt of mine, which she had apparently taken while we were out.
More to come….

ReplyDeleteWe discussed this with Matt, my mom, and Ricardo at my mom's house over Thanksgiving. How did you resolve that one? Or just let it go?
It was pretty much a disaster. Let's just say I no longer have my white peace shirt :(
ReplyDeleteoh no it was your peace shirt??? so sad, honey...
ReplyDeletealthough i suppose this does make an entertaining story.......
